Brian S. Bower

Brian S. Bower, 65, of Bethel, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at Complete Care Berkshire, after his battle with Alzheimer’s. He was the husband of Bernadette J. (Stafford) Bower, with whom he would have shared 43 years of marriage on July 14.

Brian established his own company, Bower Cable Construction, LLC in 1979. He was a dedicated and hardworking owner up until his passing. He was grateful for all the employees who helped him grow his business, many whom he viewed as extended family.

Brian, a son of the late Harold and Rosanna (Wright) Bower Sr., was born in Williamsport. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by three children, son, Robert A. Sykes III, husband of Kristen L. (Fisher), daughter, Desiree M. (Bower), wife of Kevin Frantz Jr., and Brian S. Bower Jr. fiance of Rachael Tucker; two brothers, Harold E. Bower Jr., husband of Cheryl (Green), and Steven D. Bower, husband of Mary (Foster); a sister, Lynn M. (Bower), wife of Ray Young; six grandchildren, Landon, Liam, Dillon, Adalyn, AnnaRose, and Madison; as well as many adored nieces and nephews; and was preceded in death by a beloved niece and nephew.

Brian was a hardworking and devoted family man. He was the beloved husband of Bernadette, his soulmate, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, adventures, and Harley rides.

He was a proud and legendary father and grandfather who never missed a chance to support his children and grandchildren at their sporting events, motocross races and life events both big and small.

An avid outdoorsman, Brian found peace in hunting and fishing — whether in quiet solitude or surrounded by family and friends. He cherished the fellowship he gained by playing pool at local social clubs, being a member of the AMA, and the NY Snowmobile Club.

A lifelong Steelers fan, he loved nothing more than gathering for family Steelers nights and sharing his passion with his family and their friends.

Known for his tireless work ethic and love of the outdoors, his soul belonged to his family.

Brian’s presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Little Swatara Brethren Church, 31 Rehrersburg Rd., Bethel. A visitation will be held from noon until the time of services.

Hill Funeral Home, 111 Godfrey St., Rehrersburg, is handling arrangements.
