Irene L. Miller

Irene L. Miller, 91, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 in Cortland, NY.

Born Sept. 5, 1934 in Williamsport, PA, she was a daughter to the late Leroy Loundenslager and the former Grace I. Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Miller; brothers, Earl E. Loudenslager and Elwood L. Loudenslager; and two sisters, Bertha Mae Braunbeck and Ruth Boyles.

Irene was a 1955 graduate of the Williamsport School of Nursing and worked as an RN. Her and her husband owned and operated J.H. Miller & Son Appliances in Jersey Shore for many years. She was currently a member of Bible Baptist Church in Cortland, NY and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Jersey Shore, PA.

She is survived by her two sons, J. Craig (Janice) Miller, of Cortland, NY and Wayne A. (Kathy) Miller, Sabattus, ME; 5 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Bible Baptist Church, 15 West Rd, Cortland, NY.

Graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the Jersey Shore Cemetery, 1103 Locust St., Jersey Shore, PA.
