Jane Keyte Landon
Jane Keyte Landon, 92, of Montoursville, died Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Edenbrook South. Born February 6, 1934, in Montoursville, she was the daughter of M. Robb Keyte, Sr. and Frances E. (Entz) Keyte. Jane married Eugene E. Landon on August 20, 1955, and shared 55 years of marriage prior to his passing on June 1, 2011.
Jane and Gene shared a wonderful life. Jane was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed playing the piano, listening to classical music, reading, gardening, solving word puzzles and spending time with family and friends. A graduate of Montoursville High School and Lycoming College, she taught at Hughesville and Montoursville High Schools and at Lycoming College. She was a church musician and taught private piano lessons for decades. Jane was a long-time member of the Williamsport Music Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Messiah Lutheran Church.
Jane is survived by son, Benjamin E. Landon of South Williamsport, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Landon; sisters, Virginia Wentzler and Elizabeth Wentzler, and brother, M. Robb Keyte, Jr.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, May 2, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 South Howard St., South Williamsport, with clergies Rev. Gerald Kliner and Rev. Bruce Amme officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church on Saturday.
The family suggest memorial contributions to Lycoming College, Messiah Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
