Kay Myers
Kay Myers, 68, of Montoursville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Born April 28, 1957, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Paul and June (McCarty) Laudig.
She and her husband Philip shared a wonderful marriage of 40 years. Kay was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed decorating, crafts, and spending time with her family. She was a 1975 graduate of Montoursville High School, worked at the Sunday Grit, sold many Longenberger Baskets and finished working as the administrative assistant at the St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Muncy, where she was a longtime member. She was a member of the Montoursville Garden Club and the Bible Study Fellowship at the Community Baptist Church. She loved family trips to beaches such as Delaware and the Outerbanks, as well as going for walks with Oakley, the family golden retriever.
She is survived by her father, Paul Laudig, of Montoursville; a husband, Philip Myers, of Montoursville; two sons, Alexander (Melanie Shutt) Myers, of Muncy, Spencer (Heather Liming) Myers, of Athens, OH; a granddaughter, Harriet Myers; a grandson, Martin Myers; two sisters, Valerie (Earl) Mowrey, of Montoursville, Suzanne (Ed) Henninger, of Loyalsock; a mother-in-law, Janet Myers, of Loyalsock; and a sister-in-law, Paula (Michael) Hamm, of Winchester, VA.
Kay was preceded in death by her mother, June Laudig; and a father-in-law, Calvin Myers.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2026, at St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 South Main Street Muncy, with Pastor Benjamin Lander officiating. Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty Thomas Funeral Home-Montoursville.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church.
