Leonard F. Heller, Jr.

Leonard F. Heller, Jr., 97, of Williamsport passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Born March 20, 1929 in Avis, he was a son of the late Leonard F. and Edith (Cowher) Heller, Sr.

Leonard served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War, and later retired after 33 years with PP&L. He was an avid golfer and continued to play into his 90’s. He was also a certificated pilot and enjoyed many hours in the air.

Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Susan Loparco, Lance Heller, Lisa Brown, Kurt Heller and Steven Frazier.

Leonard was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Jeanette Heller; his brother, Sylvester K. Heller and sister, Jill Frazier. Leonard was a member of Bethel Linden Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service honoring Leonard’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 1st at Bethel Linden Presbyterian Church, 2758 Bottle Run Road, Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the start of service.

A private interment will be conducted at Bellevue Cemetery in Avis.
