Thomas (Tom) W. Tallman, Sr.
Thomas (Tom) W. Tallman Sr., 76, of Cogan Station, PA died Sunday April 26, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Born January 8, 1950 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Thelma (Ott) Tallman.
He and his wife, Lucille, shared a wonderful life together and would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on June 13, 2026. Tom was an over the road truck driver since the age of 21, working in his early years for Verrastro’s Beer Distributor in Williamsport and then leased as an owner operator to Daily Express in Carlisle, PA for several years before going to work for Wal-Mart Distribution in Tobyhanna, PA. He was very proud of his trucking career and the many miles he spent on the road. He would always have a story to tell about his many trips throughout all of the 48 states and Canada.
Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Tom is survived by his wife, Lucy; sons, Kenneth R. Tallman of Loyalsock and Thomas (Michelle) Tallman Jr. of Danville; daughter, Tina (Chad) Earnest of Montoursville; grandchildren, Thomas Tallman III, Connor and Kendall Tallman, Coty and Lydia Earnest; brother, Kenneth (Roseann) Tallman of Jersey Shore; sisters, Jeanne Vittorio of Loyalsock and Bonnie Tupper of South Williamsport plus many nieces and nephews in which he treated as if they were his own children.
In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased in death by his in-laws, Ernestine and Raymond Bower, sister Sherry Miller and brother Harry Painter Jr.
Tom and his family would like to offer their sincerest appreciation to the various hospital staff at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville and also his visiting home nurses. Tom not only left a lasting impression on them but they left the family with a debt of gratitude for their compassion and utmost care.
Arrangements will be handled by McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, and services will be conducted Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home in Montoursville, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service following. Graveside service will follow at Montoursville Cemetery.
