C. Frederick Worthington

C. Frederick Worthington, 89, of Muncy, died Thursday, May 14, 2026, at UPMC Williamsport.

Born October 20, 1936, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Ernest Worthington and Anna (Narber) Worthington.

Fred retired from the former Textron-Lycoming, after having worked there for over 30 years. He enjoyed farming his family farm, going to auctions, and was an avid hunter.

Surviving is a daughter, Dody (Denny) Adams of Pennsdale; a grandson, Matt (Amber) Adams; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Adams, Rowan Adams, Kaitlyn Powers, Ryan Powers, and Megyn Powers; a brother, Joseph (Hazel) Worthington of Muncy; and a grandson-in-law, Derek (Becca) Powers.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Beverly M. (Phillips) Worthington; a granddaughter, Melanie Powers, and a sister, Mary Lyons.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2026, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home – Hughesville, 557 E. Water St. Hughesville, with Pastor David Dearing officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
