Dennis L. Schultz
Dennis L. Schultz, 77, of Montoursville, passed away on May 22, 2026, at UPMC Muncy.
Born November 28, 1948, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Earnest and Barbara (Price) Schultz and the beloved husband of Jacqueline L. (Emig) Schultz.
Denny was a graduate of WACC and built a strong work ethic that guided him throughout his life. He worked as an electrician at Andritz and Phillips for more than two decades, where he was respected for his skill, dedication, and steady presence. He took pride in his work and in the relationships, he formed along the way, and he was known as someone others could count on. His years of service reflected the dependable and hardworking nature that defined him.
Outside of work, Denny enjoyed a life filled with simple pleasures and meaningful traditions. He spent many summers at his cottage in Lewes, Delaware, where he found happiness boating, crabbing, clamming and enjoying the beach. Those who knew him will remember how much he loved the outdoors, especially hunting in Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the Queens Run Club. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s numerous games and activities throughout the years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his two daughters, Christa Karschner and her husband Brett of Leesburg, Virginia, and Stacey Roarty of Milton. He was a stepfather to Jason Cortright and his wife Michelle of Trout Run, Troy Cortright and his wife Lisa of Linden, and Mindy Evans and her husband Steve of Lewes, Delaware. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Eric, Rachel, Hunter, Tyler, Peyton, Brianna, Samantha, Alexa and Madison; and great grandson, Trevor, who brought him great joy and pride throughout his life. He is survived by his siblings, Colleen Reed, Elaine Schultz, Lynn Wertman, and Barry Schultz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a sister, Susan Nace.
A memorial service to honor the life of Denny will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 16th at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St, Williamsport, where his family will receive relative and friends from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Burial will be held at a later date.
