Francis Joseph Delycure, Jr.

Francis Joseph Delycure, Jr., 82, of Montoursville, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, at WeCare at Sycamore.

Born November 2, 1943, in Wilkes Barre, he was a son of the late Francis Delycure, Sr. and Lottie (Toloczko) Delycure.

Francis was a graduate from Saint Mary’s High School in Williamsport and started working for the United States Postal Service before honorably serving his country as a Marine during Vietnam. He was a civic minded person who was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Montoursville. He also held memberships in the Knights of Columbus, Montoursville American Legion Post 104, Montoursville Historical Society, and an overall community supporter. For many years Francis dedicated his time to help the American Red Cross organize blood drives in the area.

An avid fisherman, Frank enjoyed the challenge of the beautiful streams and creeks and being able to share those trips with his brother Tom and his nephew Daniel. He was a true sports fan who closely followed his teams, Penn State, Phillies and Eagles.

He is survived by a sister, Mary (Thomas) Rossi, of Utica, NY; nephews, Daniel (Mary Clare) Rossi and Jeffrey Troisi; three nieces, Cindy (Doug) Lemke, Joi Ann Grande, and Kathryn (Adam) Dekker; and many beloved great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Delycure; three sisters, Patricia Troisi, Kathleen Delycure, and Gloria Marie Bellott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday June 1st, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 800 Mulberry St., Montoursville, with Rev. Sean G. Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
