Jerry R. Valimont

Jerry R. Valimont, age 78, of Mainesburg, PA, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born on November 23, 1947, in Williamsport, PA, the son of Rev. Raymond and Pauline (Williams) Valimont. Jerry was married to Sarah A. “Sally” (Johnson) Valimont. He owned and operated J R Valimont Construction and built many houses in Tioga County. Jerry enjoyed thrifting, puttering in his workshop, making stained glass windows, feeding the geese and deer, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sally; two daughters, Kris (Jim) Bogaczyk of Mansfield, PA, and Kim (Rick) Barbera of Santa Fe, NM; five grandchildren, Josh (Jordyn) Payne, Mitchell (Hilary Machmer) Payne, Lyndsey (Xavier Mustico) Payne, Karley Bogaczyk, Gwenyth (Riley) Curry; four great grandchildren, Atticus, Thatcher, Poppy, and Maybel; two sisters, Connie (Steve) Bolt of Mainesburg, PA, and Margie (Charlie) Davis of Orangeburg, SC; two brothers-in-law, Scott (Vicki) Johnson of Wellsboro, PA, and Jeff (Marcia) Kenyon of Wellsboro, PA; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Rob) Carleton of Mansfield, PA; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Patricia Valimont and Renee Kenyon; three brothers-in-law, Steve, Stacey, and Stuart Johnson; and a sister-in-law, Susan Johnson.
