Joseph A. Gerber

Joseph A. Gerber, 72, of Williamsport died Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Edenbrook North.

He was the 10th child of the late, Ambrose and Clara (Luxenburger) Gerber.

Joe graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in 1972. He had worked as a maintenance supervisor and a painter.

He is survived by brother, Paul of Williamsport, Ramon (Madelyn) of Venice, FL, Jerry (Bernadette) of Port St. Lucie, FL and sisters, Alice Hirschle of Williamsport and Christina (Mark) Weitlich of Cogan Station.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters’ Marie Kiessling and Carla Szybist and brothers, Charles, Daniel. Michael, Laurence and a longtime companion, Barbara Pierce.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. 4th St., Williamsport, PA, 10 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2026 with the Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating, burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville.
