Mary G. Williams

Mary G. Williams, 93, of Picture Rocks, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Heritage Springs Memory Care, Montoursville.

Born January 11, 1933, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Fransico Monrioq and Blanca (Varona) Monrioq. She and her husband, James “Jim” C. Williams, shared a wonderful life together and were married for 50 years before his passing on October 10, 2022.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be remembered for always being supportive mom and helping everyone. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing bocci ball. Mary was devout in her faith and was a very active member of Picture Rocks Baptist Church. She was a United Methodist Lay Speaker and formally attended Tivoili United Methodist Church and Salladasburg United Methodist Church.

Mary is survived by son, John (Margaret) Williams, of Boomer, NC; grandson, Christopher Savage of Williamsport; and great-grandsons, Christopher Savage and Zane Savage.

Besides her husband and parents, Mary is also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Hughesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Picture Rocks Baptist Church, 50 Elm St., Picture Rocks, with Pastor Robert Bieber officiating. Burial will follow at Picture Rocks Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
