Nathan Thomas Frymire

Nathan Thomas Frymire of Williamsport passed from death unto life on Sunday, April 12, 2026, and is now in the presence of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.

Nathan is the son of Thomas Frymire of Cogan Station, and Darlene McCoy Frymire Holdren of Danville, Pa.

As an only child, Nathan came into the world earlier than expected on October 16, 1976, during a gorgeous autumn sunrise. He enjoyed nature and animals, and liked playing with Morris the cat and the wonder dog, Smurf, as well as video games, electronics, AYSO soccer and time spent with friends and family, especially his grandparents Ruth and Bruce Frymire.

Nate graduated from Williamsport Area High School where he developed an interest in the violin and became a concert violinist with The Williamsport Strolling Strings and played with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra. He had an interest in computers and ham radio. He also attended Rollins College in Orlando, Florida, and soon after chose a career in information technology. He worked for employers such as Kaiser-Permanente hospital system in California, IBM and Hewlett Packard in addition to short term jobs like Walmart and making funnel cakes at the county fair.

Nathan was a member of Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church in Hepburnville and valued his relationships there with peers and adults since childhood.

Nate is survived by his mother and father, uncles, Ron (Lea) and Brian Frymire; aunt, Cheryl Frymire; aunt, Ruby (Jack) Fisher, and Gary E. (Debbie) McCoy Jr. Surviving cousins include, Adam (Allison) Frymire, Megan Frymire (Wade) Pryor, Sherry McCoy Hauke, Rhonda McCoy, Gary E. McCoy Jr. and Christine Suders, Dixie and Donnie McCoy, and twin cousins, Denny and Danny Bachman. Surviving too, are many beautiful and loved second cousins.

Nathan did not have a will or many material possessions, but he leaves a legacy of love and fond remembrances to those who knew him. I’m sure Nathan would ask that everyone embrace loving kindness toward others; family, friends, neighbors and strangers. In doing so, you will honor his life and God who so ordained it.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church, 656 W. Creek Rd., Cogan Station, with Pastor Jerry Fourreaux and Pastor Jane O’Borski co-officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at mccartythomas.com.

“Trust in The Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge HIM and He will direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5&6

Thank you, Lord Jesus for allowing us to be part of Nathan’s life. We’ll see you on the other side, precious son.
