Rosemary A. (Tacka) Moore

Rosemary A. (Tacka) Moore, 78, of Williamsport, formerly of Jersey Shore, passed away, Sunday, May 10, 2026 at the Williamsport Home.

She was married to the late William F. “Bill” Moore on July 2, 1971 and they shared almost 49 years as husband and wife until the time of his death in 2020.

Rosemary was born on June 25, 1947 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Tacka. She had worked at the Motter Agency and was a member of Immaculate Conception, Williamsport. Rosemary enjoyed reading books, watching game shows and was a Notre Dame and Yankees fan.

She is survived by one son, John R. Moore of Williamsport and one brother, Dr. Francis Tacka of the Carolinas. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Tacka.

There will be a gathering of family and friends 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2026 at Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore where the funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Father Michael S. McCormick will officiate the service and burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Williamsport.
