Roy E. Palmer
Roy E. Palmer, 83, formerly of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Bradford Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marilyn (Kranz) Palmer.
Born October 5, 1942, in Knoxville, TN, he was the youngest son of the late Margaret (Woods) Davidson, and stepson to Bernice “Dave” Davidson.
Roy was a proud United States Army veteran who loved to tell stories of his time in Berlin. He owned several of his own businesses, worked as a plant manager, and retired as a project engineer, although he claimed he never really retired. When he wasn’t at work, Roy found great happiness in the Pennsylvania woods, where he especially enjoyed hiking and fishing at Bear Wallow Pond with his wife. He also loved hosting Thanksgiving dinners and cookouts for his family, tending his small garden, and spending time with his rescue pets, of which he had many.
When he was at home, Roy was happiest taking on different house and yard projects and keeping his hands busy. Whether he was repairing, improving, or building something new, he took pride in doing things himself and sharing that knowledge with others. His daughters and his granddaughter, Mena, are forever thankful for these tutorials.
In addition to his wife, Roy is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Schlossberg (Michael), Bridget Palmer-Rosetta (Joshua), and Dawn Cogliser (Robert); and four grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Roy was preceded in death by a brother, James “Don” Palmer.
In keeping with Roy’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Roy’s name to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
Online condolences may be made on Roy’s memorial page at www.SandersMortuary.com.
