Sharon P. Nagy

A much-loved daughter, mother, grandmother, cousin, and friend, Sharon P. Nagy, 78, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Edenbrook North after battling Parkinson’s Disease since 2006.

She was born March 25, 1948, in Easton, MD, and was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Louise T. (Thomas) Plotts. Sharon lived the first 11 years of her life in Easton and then moved to Williamsport in 1959.

She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1966 and then from the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing in 1969 where she was the recipient of the Francis V. Costello Award for excellence in Orthopedic Nursing.

Sharon worked in various departments at Susquehanna Health until she was selected to work in their inaugural Inpatient Oncology Unit. After several years, she moved to outpatient oncology and finally retired from Heartland Hospice.

Sharon loved animals and had several dogs during her life. None were more devoted to her than her beautiful pug, Lucy, as they were inseparable. She loved the beach and cheering on the New York Yankees, Duke basketball, and Penn State football teams. Before her illness, Sharon attended Little League and basketball games to watch her grandchildren compete.

She is survived by three children, Todd M. Nagy (Kimberly), Eric W. Nagy (Tiffany), Angela J. Nagy (Dave), all of Williamsport. She was affectionately known as “Mimi” to her eight grandchildren, Evan W., Kierstin R., Cameron T., Camille S., Kailee R., Ethan L., Dom L., and Kaden M.; one great-grandchild, Kynslee J.; and several special cousins whom she considered her siblings.

A funeral service to honor Sharon’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 26 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Webster Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until the time of service, Tuesday, at Sanders.
