Susan C. Duffield

Susan C. Duffield, 76, of Jersey Shore, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at her home, with her son and daughter-in-law at her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald C. Duffield, with whom she shared 32 years of marriage at the time of his passing in June 2004.

Born on December 28, 1949 in Williamsport, Susan was the daughter of the late Guy H. and Marion E. (Zerbe) Steinbacher.

She was a graduate of South Williamsport High School.

Before her retirement, she worked in packaging for Frito-Lay.

Susan was always very active and enjoyed going to Planet Fitness. She loved hiking, walking, gardening, and took great pride in her home which she maintained meticulously. Her love of cooking and baking made every holiday special and the kitchen the heart of her home. But above all, Susan cherished spending time and making memories with her family.

Mrs. Duffield is survived by her son, Ronald C. Duffield, Jr., his wife, Veronica, of Jersey Shore, along with her children, Monica, Stephanie and Angelo Fernandez; sisters, Judy Steinbacher of Williamsport and Frances Otterbein (Fred) of Jersey Shore; brother, Walter Steinbacher (Cindy) of DuBoistown; as well as nieces and nephews.

A service to honor the life of Susan will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church, 220 High Street, Jersey Shore, where her family will receive guests from 10 am until the time of the service.

Burial to follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
