Virginia M. “Ginny” Waldman

Virginia M. “Ginny” Waldman, 82, of South Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at home. Ginny is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert L. “Bob” Waldman whom she married May 26, 1962.

Born December 4, 1943, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Richard S. and Maxine V (Burchett) Stetts. She shared a special bond with her great-aunt Kathryn Deitz and great-uncle Frank Dietz.

Ginny spent her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Divine Providence Hospital, delivering babies and bringing new life into the world.

Ginny was a talented oil and acrylic painter, creating masterpieces from her imagination alone. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and bringing everyone together, as well as gardening and caring for her flowers. She was a former member and past president of the Williamsport Garden Club, where she shared her passion for gardening and fellowship with others.

In addition to her husband, Ginny is survived by five children, Tammy Hannan (Richard), Robert Waldman, Frank Waldman (Dee), Katy Hord (Bill), and Cheressa Mix (Bryan); nine grandchildren, Jasslynn Andrews (Brendan), Nick Hannan (Ali), Shala Smith, Ryon Barlow, Madi Horde, Jayden Rupert, Makenna Merrill (Seth), Logan Mix, and Kira Mix; ten great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Bonnie O’Lone, William Stetts, Danny Stetts, Teresa Stetts.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Richard Stetts, Deborah Stetts, Sr. Betty “EJ” Stetts, and John D. Stetts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Monday, June 1 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W Central Ave, South Williamsport, PA 17702. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 31 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.
