Carl V. Haefner, Jr.

Carl V. Haefner Jr., 103 years old, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026 at Valley View Nursing Center surrounded by family.

He was born on April 19, 1923 in Williamsport, PA to Carl Sr. and Anastasia (Mayan) Haefner.

Along with his parents, he is reunited in passing with his beloved wife of 66 years, Dolores (Danneker), and his sister, Sr. Carlene Haefner SCC.

Carl graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He also took courses in music at the former Dickinson Seminary, now Lycoming College.

Following High School, he served in the United States Army during WWII, in the 31st Anti Aircraft Artillery Group.

Carl was employed for 45 years at E. Keeler Company in their Purchasing Department and retired as Purchasing Manager.

He was a faithful parishioner of St. Boniface Catholic Church and for many years served as the organist. In 2002, he was given the St. Cecilia award for 53+ years in the parish music ministry.

Carl loved music, flowers, traveling and most of all, his family.

Surviving are his children, Karen (Mark) Balestino of Williamsport, Carl III (Julie) Haefner of Phoenixville, PA, Phyllis (Jonathan) Miller of Dauphin, PA, Janice (Ralph) DelVecchio of Glen Mills, PA, Joyce (Thomas) Curry of Slingerlands, NY; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Reis of Williamsport.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation to be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at the church. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
