Jon K. Clark
Jon K. Clark, 87 of Mainesburg, PA, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at his home while recovering from an extended illness. Jon was born August 9, 1938, in Ossining, NY, a son of Lewis and Margaret (Hulslander) Clark. He was the husband of the late Gayle (Fogelsonger) Clark, who passed away in 2011. Jon was a member and former trustee of the Mansfield First Baptist Church. His early career included serving in the National Guard at Fort Drum, NY. After moving to Pennsylvania, he installed furnaces for GLF/Agway, then dedicated his career to dairy farming, and then later law enforcement. Jon worked at the Tioga County Jail, Tioga County Children and Youth Services, the Blossburg Juvenile Diagnostic and Residential Center, Mansfield Municipal Police, and as a Mansfield University Security Officer. He was a graduate of Mansfield University and enjoyed serving in his community. As a young man, he led a Boy Scout troop in Mainesburg and taught Sunday school classes. He also served as Constable and then as Township Supervisor. He was a member and former president of the Mansfield Men’s Chorus and served as president of the Lions Club for many years. Jon enjoyed drumming, playing banjo, and Bluegrass music. He supported youth musical groups, including the Watkins Glen Squires Drum & Bugle Corps as their bus driver, and the Wellsboro Honeybees Drum & Baton Corps as a drum instructor.
Jon is survived by his daughter, Lori Clark of Mainesburg, PA; son and daughter-in-law, David and JoAnn Clark of Troy, MI; grandchildren, Sarah (Alden) Tilley, and Rachel Clark; sisters-in-law, Nancy Tice and Betsy Fogelsonger, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, David Clark, and sister, Dorothy Paci. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kathy Hindman officiating. Burial will take place in the State Road Cemetery, Mainesburg, PA.
