D. Edward Doebler, 69, of Linden, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026. Born June 23, 1957, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Dale Everett Doebler and Sondra L. (Houser) Doebler. Ed married Barbara J. Kressler on July 23, 1993, and shared 33 years of marriage.
Ed was a 1975 Loyalsock High School graduate. Ed recently retired from MB-Co as an assembler after 36 years. Ed also worked in body shops painting cars and motorcycles.
Ed was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Ed was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and friends. Ed enjoyed watching dirt track racing, and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his younger years. Ed enjoyed life, he was always laughing and making jokes. Ed is well known for being the man that was also available to help and give wonderful advice.
Ed is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Doebler of Linden; daughter, Destiny J. (Joseph) Lurch of Mill Hall; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Maverick Lurch; sister, Candance Nonemaker, of Williamsport.
Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2026, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home 733 Broad Street, Montoursville with Pastor Mike A. Hill officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
