Richard A. "Rich" Huggins, 65, of Pine Twp, Columbia Co., passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 at his home.
Born July 20, 1960 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Richard W. "Dick" and Mabel L. (Aderhold) Huggins. On January 23, 1988 he married the former Kathy E. Hornberger and together they celebrated 38 years of marriage.
Rich retired after 27 years from Merck Pharmaceutical in Danville; he also enthusiastically supported his wife Kathy with her horse training business. He enjoyed being outdoors going hunting and fishing. Rich shared his love of the outdoors with Kathy, taking her camping for the first time and going on many hikes and trips together. He also enjoyed playing his guitar.
In addition to his wife Kathy, he is survived by three sisters, Sandra L. Baumgartner, Lucinda F. Flook and her husband, Daniel, and Diana J. Six and her husband Hunter; and several nephews.
There will be a viewing held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where a celebration of life service will begin at 2 p.m.
