Robert Eugene Lusk

Robert Eugene Lusk, 99, of Williamsport, passed away on Saturday, July 4 2026 at Muncy Place. He has finally been reunited with his late wife of 70 years, Isabel R. (Zerbe) Lusk, who passed away on February 15, 2021.

Born April 19, 1927, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Edger Iron and Dora (Rote) Lusk.

Robert spent his career as a laborer and worked at Bethlehem Steel. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and a lifetime member of VFW Post 7863. Robert loved to spend time playing cards with his friends and always made sure to have his yearly trips to Ocean City scheduled. He was a devoted member of Faith Wesleyan Church.

Robert had a love for putting together puzzles, going to carnivals, watching the birds, and playing with his grand-puppy, Lenny and grand-kitty, Cocoa. Above all, Robert loved his family and was always there when they needed him.

Robert is survived by two children, Sharon L. Biber (Alan) and Kenneth L. Haines, all of Williamsport; three grandchildren, Michele Machmer (Brock), Gary “Ricky” Vogel, II (Jodi), and Paula McCue (Andrew); nine great-grandchildren, Libby, Erin, Faith, Abbie, Clayton, Blaine, Sebastian, Joaquin, and Shannon; as well as one great-great-grandson, Nixon Reef.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Robert was predeceased by ten siblings, Harold, Oliver, Elmer, Elwood, Lenard, and William Lusk, Ruth Knopp, Gladis Bower, Jean Henne, and Kathryn Martin; as well as one great-grandchild, Summer.

A memorial service to honor Robert’s life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 11 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at Sanders. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert’s name to the Lycoming SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
