Amanda L. Peterman, 46, formerly of Unityville, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Jefferson Einstein Hospital, Plymouth Meeting.
Born September 17, 1979 in Muncy, she was a daughter of Michael Peterman, of Laporte, and the late Carlene (Gordner) Peterman.
Amanda was a 1998 graduate of Hughesville High School. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Unityville.
She enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football; playing cards; and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Amanda loved family gatherings and cherished every moment with family.
In addition to her father, Michael Peterman and his wife, Debbie, of Laporte, Amanda is survived by a brother, Nathan Peterman and his wife, Lacy, of Muncy; two sisters, Olivia Leibensperger, of Bloomsburg, and Shannelle Peterman, of Cogan Station; a step-brother, Danny Morrison and his wife, Brittany, of Laporte; three nieces; three nephews; a great-niece; and three great-nephews.
Besides her mother, Carlene, Amanda was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Edwin Leibensperger.
There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Hughesville Funeral Home, 5069 Route 220 Highway, Hughesville followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., with Lewis Peterman, officiating. Burial will follow in Gordner's Church Cemetery, Unityville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Amanda's name be made to the funeral home, to help defray final expenses.
