We remember with love, Dick Bitner, who passed away on August 16, 2026 at the age of 89. Born on July 5, 1937, he lived a life marked by devotion to his family, dedication to his work, and the many relationships he built throughout the years.
He shared 49 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marian. Together, they created a blended family filled with love and lasting memories. He was the proud father of Lola Minier (Greg), of Cypress, TX; Wayne Bitner, (Lynn) of Mill Hall; Wes Bitner (Shari), of Cypress, TX; and Bonnie Rhinehart (Jeff Allegrucci) of Muncy.
He was also a stepfather to Amy Cosentino, of Coopersburg; Jennifer Bomboy (Rick) of Williamsport, and Jerry Smith (Mary Kathleen), of Allentown. He was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy and added many treasured memories in his life.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, George Bitner and Jean Sompel, and is survived by his brother, Gary Bitner.
For many years, he was part owner of Bit-Mor Pools, where his hard work and commitment helped make the business a valued part of the community. His years of service reflected his strong work ethic, determination, and pride in everything he did.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his generous spirit, and the lasting impression he made on those who knew him. His memory will continue to live on through his wife, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, extended family, and friends.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life for Dick will be held at a later date with his family and friends. The family appreciates your love and support during this time.
