Gavin Richard Garverick (aka "GG"), 18, of Blossburg, passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, in Wyalusing.
He was born on March 12, 2008, in Wellsboro, a son of Richard and Stephanie (Lindquist) Garverick. Gavin worked as a Welder Hand for Evergreen Oilfield Solutions.
Gavin's infectious smile would light up a room. He was so kindhearted and had a gentle soul. Gavin had a crazy sense of humor in always wanting to "stir the pot". His inquisitive nature lead him to research anything that was important to him.
Gavin always wanted to "do silly and stupid things" as his cousin Bentley put it. He lived life to the fullest, flipping golf carts and rolling ankles.
Gavin was an athlete and avid outdoorsman, playing baseball, wrestled and playing football for Southern Tioga Youth Football.
He could often be found riding dirt bikes or four-wheelers, hunting, fishing, snow skiing and hiking to scenic spots - always with his friends. Lambs Lookout was one of Gavin's go-to spots, where he would spend some quiet time and enjoy the scenery.
Gavin is survived by his parents; brothers, Logan and Braydon Garverick; grandparents, Kevin and Lisa Lindquist, of Blossburg, Greg and Janet Garverick of Mt. Holly, N.C., and Marilyn and Dale Roupp of Blossburg; great-grandparents, Patsy Garverick, of Wellsboro, Diane Lockard, of Canton, and Cora and Jim Roupp, of Blossburg, Janice Lindquist, of Blossburg, Jeff and Sylvia Yost, of Morris Run, and Joyce Willis, of Spanish Fork, Utah, and several special aunts, uncles, cousins, and Wyatt Nybeck and other close friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Conrad Lindquist, Harry Garverick, Gary Mahonski and Merrill Willis; uncle, Darrel Garverick; and cousin, Hudson Chilson.
