Jeanne Louise Ulmer (Fornwalt)

Jeanne Louise Ulmer (Fornwalt), 80 of Rose Valley, passed into the loving arms of her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on August 24th, 2026, while at home with family by her side. She is survived by the love of her life, Randall Ulmer whom she married on September 13th, 1969. Born January 28th, 1946 in Montgomery PA, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Grace (Cameron) Fornwalt. She graduated from Montgomery Area High School in 1963.

Over the years she worked for the Brodart Company and various chiropractors before retiring from Greg Welteroth Advertising in 2011. She was a stay-at-home mom while her children were in school.

She was a voracious reader of many genres who also enjoyed many puzzle books. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler. In retirement she enjoyed bus trips with her sister. Skilled in knitting and crocheting, these were undoubtedly her biggest passions, and she enjoyed these activities while taking in her favorite program, General Hospital. She created sweaters, blankets and throws for anyone and everyone.

Previously a long-time member of the St John Lutheran Brick Church of Montgomery PA and more recently with Rose Valley United Methodist Church she enjoyed sharing her faith of her Lord through teaching Sunday School classes as well as Vacation Bible School.

In addition to being survived by her husband, she is also survived by her two children, Douglas Ulmer (Tamara), Meredith Dawes (Daniel); grandchildren, Nathan and Reagan Ulmer. She is also survived by brothers, Ken (Kim) Fornwalt, Stephen (Tracy) Fornwalt and Brian (Joy) Fornwalt and sister, Connie Batdorf; sisters-in-law, Jeanetta Ulmer, Carol Ulmer and several nieces and nephews.

She is pre-deceased by her brother-in-law Gerald Batdorf and brother-in-law Ronald Ulmer and sister-in-law Barbara Ulmer.
