Kenneth L. Snyder

Kenneth L. Snyder, 96, of Anthony Twp, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born April 1, 1930 in Danville he was a son of the late Syrles and Blanche (Witmer) Snyder. On July 3, 1954 he married the former Phyllis M. Barto and together they have celebrated 72 years of marriage.

Ken was drafted into the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Royal Gas in Montgomery where he drove truck. Ken also owned and worked on his hobby farm.

Earlier in life he was a Boy Scout Leader. He was a member of the Turbotville VFW Post 8206 and the Watsontown American Legion Post 323. He was also a member of White Hall Baptist Church. Ken enjoyed hunting, talking fishing trips to Canada, and traveling around in his motorhome.

In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by a son, David W. Snyder, of Shermansdale.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine K. Snyder; eight brothers, Walter, William, Herbert, Donald, Melvin, Lee, Lawrence, and Leonard Snyder; and four sisters, Beatrice Woman, Josephine VanKirk, Mildred Hess, Norma Snyder.

There will be a viewing held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Ayers, officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in White Hall Cemetery, Danville.
