Patricia A. Lepley, 93, of Williamsport went to be with our Lord peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026 at home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, George E. Lepley, Sr. on Sept. 24, 2013.
Born January 30, 1933 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Grant and Grace (Lyons) Koch.
Patty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a farmer's wife through and through. She was never afraid of hard work and could often be found right alongside her family, helping with whatever needed to be done around the farm. Whether it was a farm chore, caring for her family, or simply lending a helping hand, Patty gave everything she had and never asked for much in return.
Her faith and family were at the center of her life. Patty was a founding member of the Christian Church of Cogan Station, and she treasured the time spent with those she loved most. Her grandchildren lovingly called her "Mammaw," and she was one of their biggest fans, rarely missing an activity or opportunity to cheer them on. Some of her favorite memories were made during family trips to Ocean City, New Jersey, where she enjoyed being surrounded by the people she loved.
At home, Patty found joy in tending to her flowers, sewing, and working on puzzles. She had a special knack for making her home feel warm and welcoming, especially during the holidays, when every corner seemed to be decorated just right. And for many years, Patty served as the family's unofficial hairdresser, keeping everyone looking their best whether they asked for a haircut or not!
Patty also had a wonderful sense of humor and a mischievous streak that kept her family on their toes. She had a special talent for sneaking up and scaring people when they least expected it, and if you ever got "the salute" from Patty, you knew exactly what she was thinking. These little moments of laughter and her playful personality are memories her family will hold especially close.
Surviving are seven children: George E. (Connie) Lepley, Jr., of Cogan Station, Dennis L. (Carol) Lepley of Cogan Station, Rand (Lori) Lepley of Williamsport, Sherry (Greg) Derr of Cogan Station, Terry (Lisa) Lepley of Millville, Jim (Tammy) Lepley of Williamsport, and Dodi (Jeff) Gower of Williamsport; 59 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; two sisters, Carol Johnston (Ken) of State College; Kaye Trimble (Frank) and Donald Kock (Linda) of Quiggleville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by five siblings, Betty, Norman and Grant Koch, Norma Furman and Faye Moore.
A celebration of life to honor Patty will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12th, at the Christian Church of Cogan Station, 5904 Lycoming Creek Rd., Cogan Station, PA 17728. The family will receive friends following the service.
A private burial will be held in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
