Daniel Alfred "Alfie" Davis, 84, of Cogan Station, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at The Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
Born November 1, 1941 in Williamsport, Alfie was the son of the late Daniel A. and Margaret (Brucklacher) Davis.
A few years after graduating from Williamsport High School in 1959, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served during the Vietnam War.
Before his retirement in 2001, he worked as a Lineman for 42 years with PP&L.
Alfie was a hardworking and generous man who had a strong love for God, his country, and most of all, his family.
Alfie is survived by her daughters, Stacy M. Lylery of Apex, North Carolina and Sandra R. Davis of Arizona; son, Daniel Scott Davis (Becca Thompson) of Porter, Maine; granddaughters, Sophie and Evie; mother of his children, Margie Davis; brother, Charles E. Davis (Cathy); and sisters, Marjorie McGinniss and Patricia L. Bole.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick W. "Rick" Davis.
A service to honor Alfie's life will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, September 8th at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, where a visitation will take place from 12:30 PM until the of the service.
Burial to follow in Balls Mills Cemetery in Cogan Station where military honors will be rendered at the graveside.
