Edith C. Kreisher, 89, of Williamsport, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 at The Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital. She has finally been reunited with her late husband, Cletus E. Kreisher, who passed away in 2019.
Born March 18, 1937, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Eldon B. and Evelyn C. (Yaudes) Kurtz.
Edith was a proud member of the former St. Matthews Lutheran Church. She loved to spend time camping with her family and beating them (or sometimes cheating) at 500 rummy as well as other card games. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Edith is survived by two daughters, Sandra Kreisher and Karen Heffner (Jack); five grandchildren, Erika Lepley (Michael Gair), Brad Heffner, Tyler Hinston, Trenton Hinston (Emilie), and Taylor Walton (Tommy); and six great-grandchildren, Cole, Trenton, Carly, Avacyn, Cora, and Jamison.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Edith was predeceased by a daughter, Renee L. Kreisher; a great-granddaughter, Ellianna; and a sister, Betty Stout.
A graveside service to honor Edith's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, at Freidens Lutheran Cemetery, 741 Brick Church Rd, Liberty, PA 16930.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Edith's name to the Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o the Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701.
