Jane L. Hogencamp, 76, of Williamsport, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at home. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Thomas M. Hogencamp, whom she married September 10, 1989.
Born October 11, 1949, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late George and Nellie (Howard) Berninger.
Jane is a 1967 graduate of South Williamsport Area High School and proudly spent her life taking care of her home and her children. A faithful member of River Valley Church, Jane was very involved and found great purpose in serving others. She especially loved greeting people at church, where her friendly nature and sincere care helped create a sense of belonging for all who came through the doors.
She had a love of horses and she found happiness in gardening, tending to flowers, plants, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. She also loved to travel with her husband, creating lasting memories of the places they had been.
Above all, Jane enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved being part of their lives and took great joy in their accomplishments, laughter, and companionship.
In addition to her husband, Jane is survived by three children, Matthew Weaver, Thomas Matthew Hogencamp (Breanna), and Alyssa Suzanne Beem (Mitchel); three grandchildren, Kane, Isabella, and Tess; and five siblings, Susan Heller, Charles Berninger (Ruth), Sam Berninger (Ann), Kenny Berninger, and George Berninger (Luann); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, David Berninger.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Jane's life will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 28 at River Valley Church, 470 Pine St, Williamsport, PA 17701. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m., until the time of service, Monday, at church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jane's name to River Valley Church, 470 Pine St, Williamsport, PA 17701.
