Larry A. Magargle, 84, a resident of Valley View Nursing Home, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Born Jan. 11, 1942 in Muncy, he was a son of the late Albert and Dolly (Weeks) Magargle. He celebrated 58 years of marriage with the love of his life, the former Patricia A. "Patty" Miller, before her death May 13, 2019.
Larry was a 1960 graduate of Muncy High School. He worked many jobs throughout his lifetime and retired as an independent contractor, building homes and garages within the community.
Larry loved building things for his home to display all of his wife's collectables. He enjoyed watching westerns, playing cards and spending time with his family.
Surviving are four children, Penny Johnson and husband, Dave, of Muncy, Tammy Crawford and husband, Rick, of Williamsport, Randy Magargle and wife, Melissa, of Montgomery and Dakota Magargle and significant other, Laura Diehl, of Muncy; eight grandchildren, Jessica Taylor, Beckey Laidacker and husband Nate, Tabitha Stewart, Felicia Kemtz and husband, Dan, Samantha Miller and husband, James, Makenna Wolfe and husband, Trent, Grayson Diehl and Holden Diehl; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by six siblings.
A Celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
Larry will be laid to rest with his wife in the Montoursville Cemetery.
