Robert "Bob" Glen Williams, 96, of Linden, PA, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, while on a camping trip with friends and family.
Bob was born on January 26, 1930, to Glen and Elberta (Miller) Williams in South Williamsport. In 1948, he entered the United States Army, was stationed in Panama and served until 1951. After returning from the service, he worked briefly at Stroehmann's Bakery before moving on to Canada Dry Bottling Company. While he started out washing bottles, he reached the position of Vice President and retired after 40 years of service.
In 1951, Bob married Marqueen Smith of Williamsport, and they had four children, sons Wayne D. Williams (Williamsport), Robert "Bob" S. Williams (Monkton, MD) and Randy E. Williams (Linden) and a daughter, Robin E. Williams (Williamsport).
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marqueen, after 61 years of marriage; sisters, Helen Russell, Bea Hunter, and brother, James Williams. He is survived by his sister, Georgine Liddic; children, Wayne, Bob (Nancy Paoloni), Robin and Randy, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing services will be held at Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W 4th St., Thursday September 10, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, September 12th at 11 a.m., a Celebration of Life service will be held at St Paul Calvary UMC, 1427 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Bob's memory to Hope Enterprises Inc., 2401 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701; an organization Bob happily served for many years.
