Susan Crociante, 63, of Muncy, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born November 5, 1962, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna "Nancy" (Farley) Crociante.
Susan was 1981 graduate of Hughesville High School. For most of her working life, she proudly worked alongside her parents, helping to run their restaurant, Johnny and Nancy's Country Tavern. She also worked at Economy Locker in Pennsdale for a few years prior to retiring. Outside of work, Susan was the beating heart of her family and friends. She had a passion for entertaining and gathering those she loved together, whether it was for birthdays, holidays, or parties. Her greatest sense of pride was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Marie (Christopher) Tingley of Hughesville and Michael Irion of Williamsport; granddaughters, Sara and Alaina Tingley; siblings Joseph (Bernard) Crociante, Anna (Randy) Vermeulen, Frank (Ashley) Crociante, and John Crociante; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Crociante.
A funeral service will be held Noon Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, Muncy, 602 S. Market Street Muncy, Pennsylvania, with Rev. Richard N. Robinson Jr. officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to Noon. Wednesday at the church. An additional celebration of life will be held by the family at Susan's home 2 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026.
