Cathleen “Cathy” Ann (Rondeau) Zane

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Cathleen "Cathy" Ann (Rondeau) Zane. She was born on June 23, 1957, in Norwich, CT.

She is the daughter of the late J. Roland Rondeau and Carol Rondeau who survives her. On November 6, 1982, she married the love of her life, Thomas F. Zane, Jr., at Sacred Heart Church in Taftville, CT, spending 43 years together. She graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1976. She was a member of Hepburn Baptist Church, Cogan Station, PA.

Cathy had an infectious smile and lived her life with grace and love. She loved being by the ocean and on the sand. Special trips were made to Indian Park with Tom. She loved spending time in the swings with the ducks surrounding her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed vacations at the cottage (Spring Lake Beach) and Charlestown, RI. The Monkees were her favorite musical group, and she played the album relentlessly and belted out the songs.

She was a devoted wife and mother. She will be dearly missed by her husband, a daughter, Katy Zane; her mother, Carol Rondeau, her sisters, Beth LeBlanc (Glenn), Maureen Rondeau, Tracy Funaro (Joe); a brother, Dan Rondeau (Cathy Saunders), as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved and adored her.

In addition to her father, Cathy was preceded in death by her son, David Zane, who she is surely holding in her loving arms again.

Cathy will be remembered always and will be forever in our hearts.

A memorial service to honor Cathy's life will be held by her family Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m. at Hepburn Baptist Church, 2917 Pleasant Valley Rd, Cogan Station, PA 17728. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m., until the time of service, Saturday, at church. Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
