Emily J. Weaver, 96, formerly of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Oak Glen Healthcare and Rehab Center, Lewisburg.
Born November 5, 1929 in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter to Guy Crist and the former Nellie Shaffer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald Kent Weaver on September 9, 1999, they were united in marriage on April 22, 1950. Also preceding her were two brothers and two sisters.
Emily graduated from Jersey Shore High School and continued education at Lycoming College and Lock Haven University where she got her teaching degree. She taught for 20 years in the Jersey Shore School District Elementary. She resided in Jersey Shore and later in Lock Haven and Lewisburg.
She was a member of various choirs and loved to sing, and also was a member of the Eastern Star. Emily enjoyed camping, gardening, knitting, making baskets, and was in the Jersey Shore Garden Club. She loved getting together with family and friends, loved her dogs and Penn State Football.
She is survived by her son, David K. (Barbara) Weaver; daughter, Marie E. (David) McNamara; 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private.
