Jeanne Harrison Quinn died peacefully at her home in Ft Myers, Florida on September 22, 2026. Jeanne was predeceased by her father, George Henry Harrison; mother, Verna Cecilia Altvater; husband, Howard V Quinn and grandson, Patrick Ryan Filey. She is survived by all four of her children, Patricia Quinn of Ft Myers, Florida, Debbie Quinn and husband Ed Walters of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Bob Quinn and wife Mary Ellen of Athens, Georgia, and Jeannette Cowan and husband, Bill of Lewes, Delaware. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Jeanne had recently celebrated her 100th birthday with all of her children present.
Jeanne was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania August 24, 1926 where she lived with her parents and younger brother.
After her father died when she was 10, she and her family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. There she completed high school as an honor student and then completed an Associates Degree as an honor student at St. Petersburg Junior College, where she was also editor of the school newspaper.
She got her Bachelors Degree many years later from Salisbury (Maryland) State College.
Jeanne was a lifelong member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
A memorial service will be held at Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church, 11381 Gateways Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33913 on November 7, 2026 at 1 p.m.
