Leon "Lucky" "Leo" Koskie, 84, of Montoursville passed away on October 4, 2026 at Valley View Nursing Center.
He was born April 4, 1942 to the late Joseph and Martha (Walls) Koskie in Williamsport, PA.
After graduating from Williamsport High School in 1960, Leo enlisted in the US Navy and was proud to have earned the honor of graduating first in his training class. He was a proud veteran who served 4 1/2 years on the submarine tender, The USS Bushnell in Key West, Florida. He retired from Jersey Shore State Bank after 35 years as Vice President, and then worked part-time for Muncy Bank & Trust for five years.
Leo was a generous and gregarious chap who especially enjoyed the company of his immediate and large extended family and his many friends. He enjoyed skiing, camping with his Hoover Road friends, his Saturday morning coffee buddies, the chicken BBQ gang, and meeting with his "business partner." He loved telling somewhat "questionable" jokes and was an expert at telling stories with his longtime friend, Cisco. In his younger days he handcrafted beautiful furniture, and if you ever had one of his "Koskie hoagies," count yourself lucky!
He was a member of Pine Street United Methodist Church and also attended LCBC Church (Lives Changed by Christ).
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lynne (Horner) Koskie; daughter, Jane of Lancaster; son, Andrew (wife Randi) of Liberty; granddaughters, Hadley and Norah Koskie; and a sister, Joann Cleary of Cogan Station.
A memorial service to honor the life of Leo will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17th at LCBC Church, 1681 Fox Hollow Rd., Williamsport. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be held privately in Wildwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Leo's name to the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, PO BOX 3232 Williamsport, PA 17701.
