M. Gloria Biichle, 98, of Williamsport passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at the Williamsport Home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Harold L. Biichle.
Born October 9, 1928 in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Margaret (Prowant) Mathias.
Gloria was a graduate of Milton High School. She owned and operated Gloria's Beauty Shop for 13 years at her home and retired from James V. Brown Library in 1989 after 21 years of service.
Gloria was a member of the former Duboistown United Methodist Church. She sang in the church choir and was in charge of various offices and activities at the church. Gloria enjoyed cooking, camping, spending time with her family and friends and had an infectious laughter.
Surviving are her daughters; Debra A. Nenninger (Barry) of Avon Park, FL and Donna Jean Gondek (Larry) of Williamsport, six grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings; H. Maxine Roup, Charles, Harry and Dale Mathias and a great granddaughter.
A funeral service to honor the life of Gloria will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26 at Duboistown Church, 133 Summer Street, Duboistown. There will be a viewing at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park.
