Sherry J. McCabe, 80, of Williamsport, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at WeCare at Sycamore. Surviving is her loving husband, Edward McCabe, with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage with on November 26, 2026. Sherry was preceded in death by her only son, Michael McCabe.
Born July 17, 1946, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Catherine (Pfirman) Miller. Sherry was a graduate of Montoursville High School.
Sherry was an intelligent and driven woman who successfully owned and operated a mail-order record sales business for 12 years. Through her business, she shared her love and knowledge of music with customers around the world, shipping records far beyond her hometown.
Known for her sharp mind and easygoing personality, Sherry was someone who was easy to talk to and easy to get along with. She was an avid NASCAR fan and had a special love for cats and animals. Above all, Sherry treasured the life she built and the many years she shared with Edward, a love story that began with the girl next door and endured for nearly six decades.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter-in-law, Michelle McCabe and a sister-in-law, Linda Miller of Muncy.
A private burial will be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a pet or animal charity of the donor's choice.
