We believe it truly is helpful to set aside the stresses and frustrations of life this time of year and remember what makes living in our region so special.

A great way to begin getting in the spirit of the season is at the annual Festival of Lights in Brandon Park, from 5 to 8 p.m. this Friday, as detailed in that Monday article. Another is the Will Huffman Toy Train Expo at Park Place Saturday and Sunday. Yet another is the Victorian Christmas tour, which takes participants to historic homes, churches and museums throughout the city Satuday.

We are confident our communities will have a bevy of other Christmas and holiday events showcasing what makes our neighborhoods, churches and civic groups special. We look forward, as we do every year, to continuing to share details about such events as they come to us.
