As River Valley Health Chief Quality Officer Emily Drick noted, "our goal is not only to provide food, but to empower people with the knowledge and resources they need to make changes to benefit their health."
We are thankful that these two institutions have risen to the challenge and are working to address the impact of healthy eating on healthier outcomes.
As staff members explained to the Sun-Gazette and to our audience in that Tuesday report, our communities are not immune to the challenges and expenses that are burdening families across the nation and world.
This partnership will help our communities be better positioned to mitigate the pain of some of those challenges -- and bring relief and reassurance to members of our communities.
