Good things are coming.
We are excited and confident about the expansion of Firetree Place and its future capacities and abilities to serve the community.
Firetree Place offers pre-school, before-school and after-school care -- a vital service critical for families who need child care while parents work. The programs also offer children the chance to continue learning, so they are best prepared for school.
"I think it's important to have these spaces available so that way the parents can go out and provide for their families, while their children are being watched over safely and having the benefits of doing lessons to focus on those soft and life skills," William Dayton, executive director and CEO of Firetree Place, told the Sun-Gazette.
The expansion, leaders noted in Wednesday's edition of the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, will allow Firetree Place to offer an even greater variety of community programs and meet even more community needs.
We appreciate the hard work and dedication of Firetree Place's leaders, staff and volunteers and are optimistic about the myriad ways in which the expansion will make Williamsport better.
