First Hope Hicks was announced to have COVID-19. Then it was announced President Trump and the First Lady have COVID-19. Several GOP members of Congress have tested positive for COVID-19. Attendees to the Rose Garden introduction of future Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett have also tested positive for COVID-19. Then the Chairperson of the RNC and Trump's campaign manager have tested positive for COVID-19. It doesn't stop there -- all of the people these people have come in contact with need to be quarantined and tested. Let us not forget the people working in the White House, the public events President Trump attended.
President Trump made fun of Joe Biden for his face mask wearing at the debate held in Cleveland. As a matter of fact, President Trump and his family ignored the guidelines for the wearing of face masks at the debate. They did not even show up early to the event to be tested. They claimed they were tested at the White House.
Rep. Matt Gaetz is reported to say that CDC guidelines don't work because President Trump is infected. You can continue to ignore the guidance put out by the CDC and health authorities just like President Trump has and wind up becoming infected but not receive the same care he is getting. I wish you well in your continuing stance against guidelines.
President Trump and the GOP have been woefully ignorant, misleading, and careless when it comes to protecting the American people and national security. The actions taken by the President and the GOP prove it. They can not even protect themselves from infection. Now they worry that this infection of the GOP senators will derail the nomination of Judge Barrett. That would be called karma.
