The November election was perhaps the cleanest and fairest national election in American history. Don't take my word, though, or the mainstream media's word. Take the word of Republican Attorney General Bill Barr, and Trump's Republican handpicked head of Election Cybersecurity Chris Krebs, and dozens of Republican election officials across the country and dozens of Republican judges, including some Trump appointees, none of whom could find any credible fraud in the election. In Pennsylvania, for example, there have only been two cases of fraud found, both by Trump voters who attempted to double vote.
Trump is still claiming "tremendous and terrible fraud," which simply did not exist. It is a lie.
The claims that Trump campaign observers were not allowed full access to the rooms were votes were tabulated were shot down by several judges, including the one who memorably asked a Trump attorney exactly how many observers the campaign had in the ballot counting room In Philadelphia, and the campaign attorney actually replied: "Your honor, there were a non-zero number of campaign observers present." Non-zero.
In Georgia, after the vote, there was a statewide hand recount, then a computer recount. The three vote counts all matched.
These self-serving claims by Trump and his allies don't bear up under common sense scrutiny. Why, if the Democrats somehow managed to pull off this massive national conspiracy to steal the election for Biden, did the down ballot Democrats fare so poorly? If rigging a national election was possible, wouldn't they have rigged it for state races, as well as Congressional races?
These wildly false and completely baseless claims by Trump seem designed mostly to line his pockets with donations, and to keep his base fired up for his political future, rather than to be credible.
It is disheartening then, to see 75 Pennsylvania Republican legislators, and 126 Republican representatives, most of whom surely know better, try to thwart the will of the majority of voters. This behavior approaches sedition, and at the least is anti-democratic and anti-American.
Let's remember their names for the next election. For now, call them and shame them for their violations of their oath to the Constitution.
