Can someone please set Speaker Pelosi down and explain to her that millions of dollars spent on non-COVID-19 items would be better spent helping small businesses and unemployed workers here in the United States.
The $10 million to Pakistan for gender studies, $1.5 million to study lizards walking on a treadmill, $25 million to the Kennedy Center, $13 million to Howard University, $75 million to Performing Arts, $73 million to Public Broadcasting and millions more to many other non-COVID-19 "favorite" projects are millions not spent helping locked-down businesses and unemployed workers.
Pelosi and all elected officials get their salaries paid while businesses go "belly up" waiting for COVID-19 relief money.
Feckless representatives and senators don't go hungry waiting for COVID-19 relief funds because our tax dollars are paying their salaries, paying for their staff salaries, and all the perks they have voted themselves and their families.
Taking care of "we the people" is long past overdue. It should be the top priority of elected officials! Please inundate your congressional representatives and senators with positive forms of communications (weekly or monthly) encouraging them to take care of American needs first.
