President Donald Trump did amazing work during his time in office. The list of accomplishments is huge. I haven't been so proud of a president since Ronald Reagan.
The duty of a U.S. President is not to be a father figure or moral paragon. The job of the President is to effectively do the "chores" of the country as directed by the Constitution. That is his oath. That is what Donald Trump did.
Recently, several ignorant writers have suggested that Republicans are "worshipping" Trump as a god-figure. People like that couldn't find second base during a Little League game. It is pretty obvious that Trump is living "rent-free" in their heads.
