Non-gender bathrooms

2 min read

I saw a post this morning about how Julia Roberts wants all bathrooms to be gender neutral. Needless to say there were hundreds of comments as to how wrong that is.

I'm not here to debate whether that's right or whether that's wrong but I will say this. In Sweden all bathrooms have stalls for each toilet and urinal with locking doors and walls that go from the floor to the ceiling.

They do have separate men's and women's rooms but if a woman wants to go into the men's room or vice versa, it can be done without people having a canary. People don't, other than a man bringing his daughter into the men's room or vice versa.

This would be a good alternative in this country and it would get rid of that crazy debate as to whether bathroom should be gender neutral or not. The problem we have in this country is businesses don't want to spend the money on modifying bathrooms or in the future making bathrooms this way. It's not profitable.

If you ask me the real issue here is that in America we put profit before our children or anyone else for that matter.
