Remember, our Constitution begins with "we the people," not "we the government," as the radical socialists within the Democratic party want you to believe, and Article 2 Section 1, explains the powers, duties, and the oath President Biden was required to repeat. "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of the president of the United States, and will do the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God."
However, after being elected, President Biden stated he was going to ban semi-automatic rifles and large capacity magazines even though he took an oath to protect the people's Constitution and the 2nd Amendment under our Bill of Rights that specifically states the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. In 1775, the population of the 13 colonies was 2.5 million. When King George 3rd ordered their firearms to be confiscated, they resisted and defeated the most powerful nation in the world with 8 million citizens to win their independence from England.
Today, America's independent, freedom-loving, law-abiding gun owners would resist gun control and confiscation of their firearms just as our Founders did. Governmental gun control laws have never prevented criminals, elitists, or antigun politicians from obtaining and possessing firearms. Instead, it only disarms innocent, law-abiding citizens, leaving them helpless in the face of criminals, tyrannical government, and genocide, which was rampant during the 20th century when over 170 million unarmed people were murdered by dictators. The death toll is continuing today in foreign countries.
Ronald Reagan warned, "The most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'" Gun owners should never surrender their personal and family safety for promises of governmental protection. Reagan also rejected the idea that every time a law was broken, (with firearms) society is guilty rather than the law-breaker, and stated it's time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
In 2020 there were over 21 million background checks processed for guns and 8.4 million purchased a firearm for the first time, which surpassed 2019 by 60 percent. Many of the purchases were made by women and minorities for protection, when they realized defunding the police dramatically escalated crime in their cities and states controlled by Democratic mayors and governors.
Presently, there are 21 states with constitutional carry, no firearm permits required. Yet, Pennsylvania has not approved constitutional carry even though it was one of the first states in 1776 to declare the people had a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the state. Still, New Hampshire, who fought England for America's freedom in 1775 is the only state of the 13 original colonies that enacted constitutional carry.
Today our active military consists of 1,367,030 men and women plus 594,309 reservists for a total of 1,961,339 members. In conjunction there are 100 million gun owners with over 450 million firearms, including 20 million semi-automatic rifles. Both are essential in protecting America from foreign adversaries, and Americans from radical domestic antagonists.
